About the position
Prime Healthcare is actively seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our corporate team. The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate processing and reconciliation of payroll checks. This role requires effective interaction with the Human Resources department, managers, and group staff regarding payroll issues. The Payroll Coordinator will input and retrieve payroll data from the computerized system and work with the timekeeping system to ensure accurate timekeeping. The position also requires the ability to communicate effectively with individuals across various age groups, from adolescence to geriatrics.
Responsibilities
- Timely and accurate processing of payroll checks
- Reconciliation of payroll checks
- Interaction with Human Resources and management regarding payroll issues
- Input and retrieval of payroll data from computerized systems
- Ensure accurate timekeeping using the timekeeping system
- Communicate effectively with individuals of various age groups
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Payroll
- 10 Key by touch proficiency
- Direct data entry experience
- General accounting background
- Hands-on experience with Excel or equivalent
- Experience with Timekeeping System
- Knowledge of Wage and Hour Guidelines and Healthcare pay practices
