About the position

The Payroll Data Analyst position is a remote role focused on supporting payroll data analysis and reporting for an ongoing payroll implementation project. The candidate will collaborate with payroll and implementation teams to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulations, while also preparing and presenting payroll reports. This role requires a solid understanding of payroll processes, particularly in North America, and strong analytical skills to interpret payroll data effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the payroll and implementation teams to support payroll data migration and system implementation.
  • Analyze payroll data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present payroll reports, identifying trends and discrepancies.
  • Assist with data validation and testing throughout the payroll implementation process.
  • Support the transition to new payroll systems by ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Develop ad-hoc reports as required to assist in decision-making processes.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and resolve payroll data issues.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in North America payroll operations, with a focus on payroll reporting and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with payroll regulations and compliance in North America.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and basic formulas.
  • Experience in payroll system implementations is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
