About the position

Join our team as a Payroll Governance Data Analyst where you can make a difference by analyzing data and ensuring data integrity, while providing guidance and support to help us maintain our reputation as a leader in the industry. As a Data Analyst on the Payroll Data Governance team, you will be providing support by analyzing and reporting data, evaluating existing processes, identifying process gaps, identifying areas for improvement, and developing the appropriate controls for each. In this role, you will support the corporate Risk and Control Model, coordinating Sarbanes Oxley testing, Payroll Controls testing, and any additional audit requests. You will be responsible for high volume data reconciliation, audit, and analysis, identifying the root cause of problems and implementing appropriate corrective actions. Additionally, you will prepare and analyze monthly KPIs and metric scorecards to be presented to senior management, applying quality improvement techniques by developing analytics where necessary. You will maintain, evaluate, and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency, provide excellent service, and support the department's business resiliency model. Administrative oversight to JPM Access/JPM Platforms will also be part of your responsibilities, including the setup of new users, removal of users, and editing profiles based on the needs of US Payroll users. You will assist and perform day-to-day project management and administration tasks in support of department-led projects and initiatives in a collaborative, team-based environment. Providing a high level of customer focus by ensuring all Payroll Governance inquiries are researched and responded to on a timely basis will be essential, along with regular interaction with all business areas to address inquiries and issues as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Support the corporate Risk and Control Model.
  • Coordinate Sarbanes Oxley testing, Payroll Controls testing, and any additional audit requests.
  • Conduct high volume data reconciliation, audit, and analysis to identify root causes of problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly KPIs and metric scorecards for presentation to senior management.
  • Apply quality improvement techniques by developing necessary analytics.
  • Maintain, evaluate, and revise SOPs to improve efficiency and support the department's business resiliency model.
  • Provide administrative oversight to JPM Access/JPM Platforms, including user setup, removal, and profile edits.
  • Assist and perform day-to-day project management and administration tasks in support of department-led projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure timely research and response to all Payroll Governance inquiries, maintaining a high level of customer focus.

Requirements

  • 3+ years Payroll and/or Compliance analyst experience.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, including root cause analysis, with attentiveness to detail.
  • Experience collecting, transforming, analyzing, and reporting data to drive business decisions.
  • Understanding of key controls and their impact on the business from an operational and/or systems perspective.
  • Strong problem-solving, problem identification, and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment across teams.
  • Experience with SOX Controls and Internal and External Audit processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
