About the position

The Payroll Governance Data Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing data and ensuring data integrity within the Payroll Data Governance team. This position focuses on providing guidance and support to maintain the company's reputation as a leader in the industry by evaluating existing processes, identifying gaps, and developing controls to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Support the corporate Risk and Control Model.
  • Coordinate Sarbanes Oxley testing, Payroll Controls testing, and additional audit requests.
  • Conduct high volume data reconciliation, audit, and analysis.
  • Identify root causes of problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly KPIs and metric scorecards for senior management.
  • Apply quality improvement techniques by developing necessary analytics.
  • Maintain, evaluate, and revise SOPs to improve efficiency and support business resiliency.
  • Provide administrative oversight to JPM Access/JPM Platforms, including user setup and profile management.
  • Assist in day-to-day project management and administration tasks for department-led projects.
  • Ensure timely research and response to Payroll Governance inquiries, maintaining high customer focus.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Payroll and/or Compliance analyst experience.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, including root cause analysis and attention to detail.
  • Experience in collecting, transforming, analyzing, and reporting data to drive business decisions.
  • Understanding of key controls and their impact on business operations and systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment across teams.
  • Experience with SOX Controls and Internal/External Audit processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Proficiency with Alteryx.
  • Prior Oracle HCM Payroll experience.
