About the position

The Payroll Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the Payroll Department by ensuring that finalized payrolls are accurately packaged and shipped. This position involves a variety of administrative tasks that are essential for the smooth operation of payroll processing. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing client payroll packages for shipping, ensuring that payroll checks are secure and that the check count is accurate. Attention to detail is paramount, as the role requires organizing reports for distribution and creating shipping labels to facilitate the timely delivery of payroll materials. In addition to packaging payroll, the Payroll Assistant will also be tasked with ordering shipping materials as needed and scanning and saving payroll reports for record-keeping purposes. Maintaining payroll folders according to client specifications is another critical responsibility. The role will also involve preparing termination letters for employees, which includes running reports of those receiving letters, performing mail merges, and printing and mailing the letters. Furthermore, the Payroll Assistant will assist the Marketing Department in shipping out materials for events, showcasing the collaborative nature of this position. This role is office-based and requires a commitment to working five days a week, with a salary of up to $45,000.

Responsibilities
