We are currently seeking a Full-Time Payroll/HR Assistant to join our team at Vitco Foods. This position is an onsite role located at 715 East California Street, Ontario, CA 91761, and requires working Monday through Friday during the day shift. The Payroll/HR Assistant will play a crucial role in managing various HR functions, particularly in payroll processing and employee management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and tracking vacation, sick, and floating holidays, ensuring that all employee records are accurate and up-to-date. In this role, you will also be tasked with conducting new employee orientation training, streamlining and updating payroll processes and procedures, and maintaining an attendance tracking system. This includes recording employee tardiness and absenteeism, as well as managing vacation hours earned and used, and leaves tracking. You will process information related to FMLA, OSHA compliance, EEO compliance, family relations, recruitment, and sexual harassment compliance, ensuring that all practices adhere to legal standards. Additionally, the Payroll/HR Assistant will maintain confidential payroll and HIPAA files, audit, set up, and maintain personnel files, and assist the HR Manager with job fairs, recruitment, and onboarding processes. You will also be responsible for maintaining an applicant tracker and reviewing daily attendance exceptions, notifying departmental managers as necessary. This position requires a proactive approach to HR tasks and a commitment to maintaining a positive work environment.
