About the position
This position will perform a variety of administrative tasks in support of the human resources and payroll department.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the creation and maintenance of human resources forms or documents.
- Answers basic employee questions about human resources policies or offerings.
- Processes employee status changes or benefits enrollments.
- Inputs HR-related data and compiles standard reports for management review.
- Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions, and deductions.
- Uses payroll software, input payroll data, and assist in preparing payroll checks.
- Answers employee questions related to payroll and resolves issues.
- Helps to ensure payroll practices meet company policies and government compliance.
Requirements
- Strong computer skills such as typing, system and software knowledge
- Accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with employees regarding their issues and concerns
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment with specific deadlines
- Ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment
- Confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee records
- Proficiency reading and speaking the Spanish language strongly preferred
