About the position

Join Lucky Premium Treats, a growing dog treat manufacturer and e-commerce company located in Norcross, GA, as a Payroll/HR Generalist. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18 to $22 and requires a bilingual candidate fluent in both Spanish and English. The Payroll/HR Generalist will play a crucial role in managing payroll processes, onboarding and offboarding employees, and ensuring compliance with various employment-related regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, particularly in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, processing payroll, and assisting with employee relations. In this role, you will be tasked with developing and implementing programs, policies, and practices that ensure the company's compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, including GMP, OSHA, and FDA standards. You will also oversee HR compliance processes, including the administration of I-9 forms, background checks, employment verification, and unemployment claims. Additionally, you will manage workers' compensation claims and contribute to the development of safety policies within the organization. As a Payroll/HR Generalist, you will be responsible for recruiting employees for various positions within the manufacturing, warehouse, and office settings. Your strong recruiting skills will be essential in identifying and attracting top talent to join our team. You will also be expected to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion, ensuring that all HR practices align with legal and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll and generate weekly payroll reports.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
  • Develop programs, policies, and practices to ensure compliance with employment regulations.
  • Administer HR compliance processes, including I-9 administration and background checks.
  • Maintain both paper and electronic employee files.
  • Process workers' compensation claims and assist with safety policies.
  • Recruit for manufacturing, warehouse, and office positions.
  • Handle employee relations and address any HR-related issues.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related work experience and/or education in HR or Payroll.
  • Strong recruiting skills, particularly in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws including DOL, FLSA, ADA, and EEOC.
  • Familiarity with regulatory agency standards such as FDA, OSHA, and GMP.
  • Broad knowledge of HR practices related to leave management, attendance, and compliance.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily work while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, ATS systems, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
