Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee payroll and HRIS systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot payroll tax issues and identify root causes of discrepancies.
  • Research and resolve tax agency notices effectively.
  • Set up state income, state unemployment, and local jurisdiction profiles for payroll utilization.
  • Provide payroll tax compliance assistance and best practices to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships in a customer-centric environment.
  • Work autonomously or in a virtual team to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Develop and execute project plans for payroll/HRIS implementations.

Requirements

  • Experience in a variety of Payroll & HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations.
  • Ability to provide payroll tax compliance assistance and guidance.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including creating formulas, Pivot Tables, and VLOOKUP.
  • Previous experience in project management of payroll/HRIS projects.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred experience with major payroll/HRIS platforms such as ADP, Ceridian, Paychex, Paycom, Paycor, Paylocity, Rippling, UKG, or Workday.
  • Ability to work in a flexible schedule to meet client demands.
