Our quality service and technical network enable you to help clients reduce inefficiencies, mitigate risk, and drive process improvement within their payroll functions. As a Manager in Payroll Operate focused on implementation, you will help lead global payroll implementations. You will supervise the design, implementation, and smooth transition to new global payroll operate models for our medium and large clients. Governance of payroll implementation is key, and you will lead the global country teams utilizing our one global methodology throughout our global payroll implementation life cycle to mitigate project risk. You will also drive or support our effort in continuous innovation, building our next generation payroll solutions, and enhance our project delivery tools. Your role will require strong ownership, project management, issue and risk controls, decisions tracking, status reporting, and deliverable management, including the escalation of client, central project support teams, and internal country issues. You will be involved in thought leadership development and will identify opportunities to improve our project delivery tools and templates. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide clients with integrated, consistent, quality service that unlocks the potential of the payroll function across the entire process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global payroll implementations for medium to large clients.
  • Supervise the design and implementation of new global payroll operate models.
  • Drive continuous innovation and build next generation payroll solutions.
  • Enhance project delivery tools and methodologies.
  • Manage project escalations and refer to senior implementation team members for assistance.
  • Utilize global methodology payroll leading practices.
  • Provide governance of payroll operations and track the end-to-end process.
  • Coach and mentor junior implementation team members.
  • Support sales processes related to central implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and relevant post-graduate qualification, preferably in Sciences, Business, or Finance.
  • Eight or more years of relevant payroll project and/or project management experience.
  • Experience with large HR and Payroll implementation projects working with major technology vendors such as ADP, Oracle, SAP, Workday.
  • Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Project management experience with large HR/Payroll projects.
  • Candidates with active PMP certification strongly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP qualification from the Society for Human Resource Management.
  • Certified Payroll Professional designation from the American Payroll Association.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in business administration or EY Tech MBA.
  • Experience in thought leadership development.
  • Familiarity with global payroll tools and technology.
