About the position

The Payroll Manager/AP/Reception position at HMG Services involves managing payroll processes, accounts payable, and receptionist duties. The role requires extensive experience with ADP systems and entails maintaining employee timesheets, processing payroll, handling accounts payable, and providing reception support. This full-time position is based in Houston, TX, and operates Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor employee timesheets using ADP Workforce.
  • Record departmental hours such as overtime and report to Administrator and Supervisors as appropriate.
  • Process changes to employment data such as new hires and terminations.
  • Prepare biweekly payroll for processing.
  • Enter vacation requests and maintain accurate balance of PTO earned for each eligible employee.
  • Develop and conduct new hire orientation for new employees.
  • Complete new hire paperwork on all new employees.
  • Obtain appropriate log-ins for direct care staff.
  • Monitor licensing of all staff and ensure all licenses remain in active status.
  • Assist department supervisors with informing staff of current policies and procedures.
  • Review all payables invoices and process for timely payment.
  • Obtain W9s and set up new vendors.
  • Contact vendors with any billing issues.
  • Answer phones and screen incoming visitors if needed.

Requirements

  • 2 years of payroll management experience.
  • 1 year of accounts payable experience.
  • 2 years of experience with ADP Workforce.
  • Ability to relocate to Houston, TX before starting work.
