About the position

The Payroll Manager position at JGA Recruitment Group offers an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional to join a dynamic and evolving team within a prestigious professional services firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Payroll Specialists, ensuring that payroll for approximately 2,000 employees is processed efficiently and accurately. This position allows for a flexible work-from-home arrangement, making it ideal for candidates seeking a balance between professional responsibilities and personal commitments. In this role, the Payroll Manager will not only lead and motivate the payroll team but will also provide primary back-up coverage for all supervised payroll positions. This includes personally performing payroll processing when necessary, ensuring that all payrolls, funding requests, and routine payroll tasks are reviewed, audited, and approved. The Payroll Manager will be tasked with maintaining adequate separation of duties and financial controls to safeguard the integrity of the payroll process. Additionally, the role involves training, managing, and evaluating staff to foster a high-performing team environment, which is crucial for the success of the payroll operations. Candidates for this position should possess a strong background in payroll management, with over five years of experience in the field. A professional payroll certification, such as the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), is required, along with a degree in a relevant field. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Over 5 years' experience in payroll.
  • Professional payroll certification (e.g. CPP).
  • Degree educated.
  • Workday payroll experience preferred.
  • Professional services experience preferred.
