About the position

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Payroll Specialists, ensuring that payroll for approximately 2,000 employees is processed efficiently and accurately. In this role, the Payroll Manager will not only lead and motivate the payroll team but will also provide primary back-up coverage for all supervised payroll positions. This includes personally performing payroll processing when necessary, ensuring that all payrolls, funding requests, and routine payroll tasks are reviewed, audited, and approved. The Payroll Manager will be tasked with maintaining adequate separation of duties and financial controls to safeguard the integrity of the payroll process. Candidates for this position should possess a strong background in payroll management, with over five years of experience in the field. Responsibilities

Requirements

• Over 5 years' experience in payroll.
• Professional payroll certification (e.g. CPP).
• Degree educated.
• Workday payroll experience preferred.
• Professional services experience preferred.
