About the position

Robert Half is actively recruiting for a strong Payroll Manager/Consultant for a Healthcare company for a 3+ month engagement. The consultant's primary responsibilities will include processing payroll for over 600 employees, handling incoming questions and inquiries related to payroll, and preparing reporting and filing payroll taxes. This role will be located onsite in Banning, CA, and requires a thorough understanding of payroll processes and tax reporting. The consultant will manage the payroll process in the UKG system on a bi-monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all payroll regulations. Additionally, the consultant will work closely with other departments to ensure the accuracy of payroll information and assist with any payroll audit requests. Heavy Excel skills are required, as well as expertise in 401k management and familiarity with payroll garnishments. The ideal candidate will have experience managing payroll for over 500 employees and a strong understanding of local payroll tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for over 600 employees on a bi-monthly basis.
• Handle incoming questions and inquiries related to payroll.
• Prepare payroll reports and file payroll taxes (monthly, quarterly, annual, and garnishments).
• Manage payroll process in the UKG system.
• Work with other departments to ensure accuracy of payroll system and information.
• Assist with payroll audit requests.

Requirements

• Experience in managing payroll for over 500 employees.
• Proficiency in using UKG Pro (ideal).
• Expertise in 401k management.
• Thorough understanding of payroll tax reporting.
• Ability to process bi-monthly payroll.
• Experience with full cycle payroll is mandatory.
• Knowledge of local payroll tax regulations.
• Familiarity with payroll garnishments.
• Heavy Excel skills.
