About the position

The Payroll Manager at Gypsum Management & Supply (GMS) is responsible for overseeing the Time & Attendance System and Payroll system, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll data. This role serves as the main liaison for system support and enhancements, aiming to improve HR efficiency through technology and best practices. The Payroll Manager will also guide process improvements and collaborate with HR, IT, and stakeholders to meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of time and attendance data for payroll.
• Manage and support HR systems to improve overall HR efficiency.
• Ensure proper functioning of Time & Attendance and HR-related systems.
• Support HR systems and reporting, identifying enhancements or fixes as needed.
• Guide implementation of process improvements and innovative tools in HR.
• Partner with HR team, IT, and stakeholders to define and translate business requirements into system requirements.
• Adhere to internal control processes, including payroll balancing and compliance.
• Train HR teams across all locations on process improvement techniques.
• Provide implementation support and verify Paid Time Off accruals and balances.
• Test enhancements and upgrades, identifying opportunities for operational changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong application/software support experience.
• General knowledge of HR, payroll, and timekeeping.
• Knowledge of FLSA overtime is a plus.
• Experience with piece rate/footage preferred.
