About the position

The Payroll Manager position is a temporary contract role based in Fairfax, Virginia, focused on overseeing and managing payroll processing for a large team of up to 500 employees. Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the processing of payroll for a team of up to 500 employees.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to ensure efficient and accurate payroll processing.
• Collaborate with a Payroll Administrator to ensure all payroll activities are completed on time.
• Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring all payments are made accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records.
• Resolve any payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor and manage customer accounts and take necessary actions when required.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance with legal regulations.
• Utilize strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and accurate payroll processing.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role in payroll.
• Proficiency in using 'ADP Workforce Now' software.
• Demonstrated ability to process payroll for 101-500 employees.
• Experience in bi-weekly payroll processing.
• Strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
