About the position

The Payroll Manager will oversee the complete payroll process for a global partner specializing in technical solutions. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with payroll laws, and the overall efficiency of payroll operations. The manager will also mentor the payroll team and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete payroll process, including wage calculations, deductions, bonuses, and benefit allocations.
  • Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes and apply them to payroll policies and practices.
  • Review the functionality of the payroll system and work with IT to troubleshoot issues and implement updates.
  • Ensure data integrity and security within payroll software.
  • Generate detailed payroll reports and metrics, analyzing trends and discrepancies.
  • Present findings and actionable insights to senior management.
  • Manage, mentor, and support the payroll team, providing guidance and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for the payroll team.
  • Continuously assess payroll processes and identify opportunities for improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • International payroll experience is strongly desired.

Nice-to-haves

  • Payroll certification (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional - CPP) is a plus, but not required.
