About the position

As the Payroll Manager at Dungarvin, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and orchestrating payroll procedures for our organization, which is dedicated to providing high-quality, community-based supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as those facing mental health and significant medical challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure unwavering compliance with laws and tax obligations while leading a talented payroll team. You will meticulously maintain the records that keep our financial operations running smoothly, ensuring that all employees receive their compensation accurately and on time. In this position, you will be responsible for efficient payroll processing, managing payroll systems, and optimizing our processes to stay current with industry advancements. You will lead and support a team of payroll professionals, fostering their growth and ensuring they deliver consistently exceptional results. Additionally, during acquisitions or mergers, you will play a pivotal role in integrating payroll processes and systems to maintain a smooth transition for all employees. Your expertise will also be crucial in introducing and implementing new payroll systems or software to improve efficiency and accuracy. Regular audits will be part of your responsibilities to verify the accuracy of payroll data and ensure compliance with tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies. You will manage all aspects of payroll from time tracking to tax compliance, collaborating with auditors and overseeing payroll tax audit processes. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and orchestrate payroll procedures ensuring compliance with laws and tax obligations.
  • Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
  • Manage and optimize payroll systems, staying updated with industry advancements.
  • Lead and support a team of payroll professionals, fostering their growth.
  • Integrate payroll processes during acquisitions or mergers for smooth transitions.
  • Introduce and implement new payroll systems or software to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify payroll data accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage all aspects of payroll from time tracking to tax compliance.
  • Collaborate with auditors and oversee payroll tax audit processes.

Requirements

  • 10 years of expertise in managing payroll and taxation across multiple locations.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with Ultimate Software UltiPro HR/PR (UKG) application, Kronos Timekeeping application, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent understanding of multistate payroll tax laws and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or associate's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with ADP print and tax services.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics accounting software and proficiency in accounting practices.
  • Professional Certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or CPM.
