About the position

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Payroll Manager to join their team full-time. The Payroll Manager will play a crucial role in managing payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll systems and processes, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various departments, including HR and finance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, inputting, and importing pay data into accounting systems, running pay calculations, and reviewing audit reports. Additionally, the Payroll Manager will assist with U.S. settlement processes and prepare leave of absence pay calculations. This role also involves liaising with employees and HR to obtain any missing details necessary for payroll processing, reviewing and processing semi-monthly timecards, and collaborating with the corporate relocation firm to process relocation expense reports through payroll for tax purposes. The Payroll Manager will be expected to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while managing payroll operations. This includes ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and laws. The role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. The Payroll Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy in payroll processing. Responsibilities

  • Collect, input, and import pay data into accounting systems.
  • Run pay calculations and review audit reports.
  • Assist with U.S. settlement processes.
  • Prepare leave of absence pay calculations.
  • Liaise with employees and HR to obtain missing details.
  • Review and process semi-monthly timecards.
  • Collaborate with the corporate relocation firm to process relocation expense reports through payroll for tax purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of payroll experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and developing a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and accounting software.
  • Experience with Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence is preferred.
  • Accounting and multi-jurisdictional tax knowledge are advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
