About the position

The Payroll Manager at Mozaic is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees, in compliance with agency policies and relevant laws. This role involves leadership and supervision of Payroll Coordinators, as well as collaboration with the Finance team to ensure proper payroll reporting. The Payroll Manager also develops and implements internal controls to mitigate fraud and ensures timely filing of payroll taxes and reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Provide leadership and supervision for Payroll Coordinators.
• Act as a liaison with YTS regarding onboarding, payroll, and benefits.
• Develop and implement internal controls over payroll to ensure accuracy and mitigate fraud.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of annual and quarterly payroll taxes and reports.
• Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure proper payroll reporting in financial statements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or Business.
• Three years of related experience or at least seven years of related experience with a minimum of three years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of payroll laws and practices.
• Certified Payroll Professional preferred.
• Current, valid New York State Driver's License that meets Agency Driver standards.
• Ability to lift as required.
