About the position

The Payroll Manager at Xclusive Wireless Resources LLC is responsible for overseeing payroll functions, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and managing payroll expenses and taxes. This role involves supervising the payroll team, coordinating with HR and accounting, and maintaining accurate payroll records. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a methodical approach to payroll administration, and a deep understanding of payroll laws and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop systems to process payroll account transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes, and third-party payments.
  • Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems.
  • Oversee processing of payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, and raises.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
  • Supervise and coach payroll clerks and assistants.
  • Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
  • Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions.
  • Document all callouts in the payroll system, including carrying the Payroll Manager's cellular phone to record HR information.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a payroll manager or similar role.
  • Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws.
  • Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes.
  • Familiarity with payroll software, specifically Paychex and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Experience in logistics is required.
  • A keen eye for detail and an analytical mind with good math skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Organizational and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPP, CPM) is a plus.
