The Payroll Manager at Appcast will play a crucial role in overseeing payroll activities across the United States, Canada, and internationally. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all payroll processes, which is essential for maintaining employee satisfaction and compliance with various payroll laws and regulations. The Payroll Manager will supervise a dedicated team of payroll specialists, guiding them in their daily tasks and ensuring that they have the resources and support needed to perform their roles effectively. In this role, the Payroll Manager will maintain an excellent working knowledge of payroll systems and software, regularly reviewing features, workflows, and integration options to maximize efficiency. This includes overseeing the execution of payroll processing, reviewing and approving payroll transactions such as salary adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and tax obligations. The manager will also ensure data integrity within payroll systems and maintain accurate payroll-related data for new hires, promotions, and terminations. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local payroll laws, including the accurate calculation of payroll liabilities such as income taxes, social security taxes, and unemployment payments. Additionally, the manager will oversee the timely processing and distribution of year-end reporting and participate in annual audits by providing accurate records to auditors. Staying informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations is critical to ensure the organization remains compliant. Leadership is a key aspect of this role, as the Payroll Manager will supervise and lead a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance, training, and regular performance feedback.
