About the position

At Dungarvin, we are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Payroll Manager to lead our payroll team and ensure our financial operations run smoothly. This role is crucial for maintaining impeccable records and guiding a talented team to success. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for efficient payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for every team member in line with company policies and regulations. You will manage and optimize our payroll systems, staying ahead of industry trends and harnessing technology to enhance our processes. As a leader, you will inspire and support a team of payroll professionals, fostering their development and ensuring outstanding performance across the board. You will also play a key role in integrating payroll processes during acquisitions or mergers, ensuring a seamless transition for all employees. The implementation of new payroll systems or software to boost efficiency and accuracy will be part of your responsibilities. Regular audits will be conducted to verify payroll data accuracy and ensure compliance with tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies. You will oversee every aspect of payroll, from time tracking to tax compliance, and manage payroll tax audits while working closely with auditors to ensure smooth and accurate processes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for all team members.
  • Manage and optimize payroll systems, staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Lead and support a team of payroll professionals, fostering their development.
  • Integrate payroll processes during acquisitions or mergers for seamless transitions.
  • Implement new payroll systems or software to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify payroll data accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee all aspects of payroll, including time tracking and tax compliance.
  • Manage payroll tax audits and collaborate with auditors.

Requirements

  • 10 years of payroll and taxation expertise across multiple locations.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or in a similar role.
  • Technical proficiency in Ultimate Software UltiPro HR/PR (UKG), Kronos Timekeeping, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of multistate payroll tax laws and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with ADP print and tax services.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics accounting software and PowerBI.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM).
