About the position

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Manager in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry. The role is based in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and orchestrating payroll procedures, leading and guiding our payroll team, and maintaining meticulous financial records. This position requires a strong leader who can manage and optimize payroll systems, ensuring the effective utilization of technology for process streamlining. You will oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring all employees receive their compensation in accordance with company policies and regulations. In this role, you will lead and support a team of payroll professionals, fostering their growth and ensuring consistent exceptional results. You will play a pivotal role during acquisitions or mergers in integrating payroll processes and systems. Additionally, you will implement new payroll systems or software to improve efficiency and accuracy. Regular audits will be conducted to verify the accuracy of payroll data and ensure compliance with tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies. You will manage all aspects of payroll from time tracking to tax compliance, collaborate with auditors, and oversee payroll tax audit processes. Furthermore, maintaining accurate customer credit records and processing customer credit applications efficiently will be part of your responsibilities. You will also monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in payroll management, preferably within the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry.
  • Mastery in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now.
  • Proficiency in ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode and Ceridian.
  • Experience in using Crystal Reports.
  • Knowledge and experience in 401k - RRSP Administration.
  • Familiarity with About Time software.
  • Strong understanding of accounting functions.
  • Experience in auditing.
  • Ability to manage benefit functions.
  • Hands-on experience in full cycle payroll.
  • Experience in managing multi-state payroll.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • Professional certification in payroll management is an added advantage.
