About the position

The Payroll Manager will oversee payroll processing for employees across the US, Canada, and Ireland, ensuring compliance with payroll laws and tax regulations. This role involves supervising payroll controls, managing workflows, supporting audits, and leading a payroll team while maintaining the accuracy of payroll records.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete payroll processing for employees across the US, Canada, and Ireland
  • Ensure adherence to applicable payroll laws and tax regulations
  • Supervise payroll controls and ensure accurate reconciliation of payroll data
  • Manage payroll workflows to meet operational deadlines and business needs
  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll processes
  • Handle key quarterly and year-end payroll tasks, including W-2 reconciliation
  • Lead and mentor payroll team members, providing necessary training and guidance
  • Supervise payroll system updates and manage any related changes
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and lead the implementation of new initiatives
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of payroll records
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal departments to ensure seamless payroll operations
  • Provide assistance with special projects as needed

Requirements

  • Expertise in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
  • Proficiency in ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
  • Experience with Ceridian software
  • Familiarity with Crystal Reports
  • Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration
  • Experience in using 'About Time' software
  • Proficiency in various Accounting Functions
  • Experience in Auditing
  • Understanding of Benefit Functions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced IT environment
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and oversee the payroll team
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with other departments
  • High attention to detail and accuracy to ensure correct payroll processing
  • Knowledge of payroll tax laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to highest ethical standards

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Crystal Reports
