About the position

The Payroll On-Cycle Project Manager at Kroger Corporate is responsible for leading special projects within the Kroger Accounting Services Hutchinson (KASH) department. This role serves as a subject matter expert, providing leadership support to finance directors, controllers, and department managers while ensuring compliance with industry guidelines and company policies. Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert in a designated area of Kroger Accounting Services Hutchinson (KASH).
• Provide leadership support to the director of Finance, controllers, and department managers by leading special projects and assisting with day-to-day operations.
• Partner with Kroger General Office, divisions, and business units to define scope, goals, and deliverables of assigned projects.
• Define project tasks and resource requirements.
• Ensure project compliance with industry guidelines, company policy, and laws.
• Serve as liaison and manage relationships between KASH and project stakeholders; ensure communication includes the appropriate department managers and controllers.
• Provide analysis for project impact on various departments utilizing graphing/trending reports.
• Plan and schedule project timelines.
• Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
• Monitor and report on project progress to all stakeholders.
• Manage project changes; identify problems and implement solutions to achieve project outputs.
• Measure and report on project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and conduct training.
• Assist in establishing processes for additional project components or special projects.
• Maintain confidentiality of conversations and documents.
• Travel independently to other divisions for training and meetings.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of Kroger Accounting/HR Shared Service experience or extensive accounting/project management knowledge or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to multi-task.
• Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure, handling stress in a manner acceptable to others.
• Ability to establish a course of action for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently, assuming responsibility and accountability for timely completion of tasks.
• Ability to take action to accomplish objectives and goals.
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others; ability to establish/maintain good working relationships.
• Proven analytical skills.
