We are currently looking for a meticulous and experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our team, with the option for hybrid or fully remote work arrangements. The Payroll Supervisor will collaborate closely with the HR director to ensure smooth payroll operations. This role is critical in managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing support to employees regarding payroll inquiries. The Payroll Supervisor will efficiently manage and execute bi-weekly payroll for all staff, including salaried, hourly, and tipped employees across various restaurant locations. This includes guaranteeing adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations, such as tax submissions, wage laws, and employee deductions. The role also involves creating and reviewing payroll reports for accuracy, presenting findings to management to ensure compliance with financial policies. Additionally, the Payroll Supervisor will work with HR to oversee and reconcile employee benefits deductions, ensuring precise processing and reporting. As the main contact for payroll-related inquiries, the Payroll Supervisor will provide prompt and effective solutions to payroll issues. The position requires managing payroll software, ensuring it remains current and meets the company's needs, while suggesting improvements as needed. Regular audits of payroll processes and records will be performed to uphold accuracy and compliance. Furthermore, the Payroll Supervisor will identify areas for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll functions.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years in payroll management, ideally within the hospitality or restaurant sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom) and strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tip reporting and tax laws.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of conveying complex payroll information clearly to both employees and management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a careful approach to managing sensitive financial information.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting, demonstrating effective time management and organizational skills.
