Responsibilities

  • Lead payroll operations processing, including ADP payroll BAU process deployment.
  • Direct actions of the payroll operations team members to accomplish company objectives.
  • Share knowledge and information through regular communications within the Takeda Payroll Team.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all Takeda employees in the US, PR, and Canada.
  • Monitor payroll equity transactions and assignee mobility payments.
  • Manage operations and service delivery for effective payroll services.
  • Maintain internal controls relating to payroll practices and records.
  • Develop, implement, and update payroll procedures to comply with corporate policies and regulations.
  • Conceive and implement process enhancements for payroll services.
  • Coordinate with other departments within People Solutions team.
  • Participate in cross-departmental groups to improve payroll programs and services.
  • Manage resources to identify and develop solutions to complex payroll issues.
  • Lead and manage the payroll operations department, including hiring and training staff.
  • Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and ensure compliance with tax laws.
  • Manage relationships with payroll service providers and external partners.
  • Monitor payroll processes for efficiency and effectiveness, implementing solutions for improvement.
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports, metrics, and KPIs to monitor performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 7+ years of experience in payroll in a supervisory or manager role.
  • Large payroll experience (10K+ employees US).
  • US and Canada payroll processing experience.
  • Skills in process analysis, assessment, and improvement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred, but not required.
