About the position

The Payroll Operations Manager for US & Canada at Takeda is responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees across multiple legal entities. This role involves leading the payroll operations team, implementing process improvements, and maintaining compliance with payroll laws and regulations. The manager will collaborate with various departments to enhance payroll services and support the company's digital transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll operations processing for US and Canada, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
• Direct the payroll operations team and manage all tasks necessary to meet company objectives.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all Takeda employees in the US, PR, and Canada.
• Monitor payroll equity transactions and manage reporting for relocation and assignee mobility payments.
• Develop and implement payroll procedures to comply with corporate policies and regulations.
• Conceive and implement process enhancements to improve payroll services.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve operational problems and improve service delivery.
• Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Manage relationships with payroll service providers and external partners.
• Prepare and analyze payroll reports and metrics to monitor performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years of experience in payroll in a supervisory or manager role.
• Experience with large payroll (10+ employees in the US).
• US and Canada payroll processing experience.
• Skills in process analysis and improvement.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred but not required.
