About the position

The Payroll Processing Manager at Radiology Imaging Associates is responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of bi-weekly payroll for approximately 400 employees and 120 physicians. This role involves collaboration with the Controller, Human Resources, and Accounting to improve payroll processes and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. The position requires in-office work in Englewood, Colorado, and demands a high level of independence and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the bi-weekly payroll process for all employees and physicians.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations.
  • Set up and update payroll systems to reflect current employee data.
  • Process manual checks and supplemental payroll as needed.
  • Coordinate with the 401K plan provider for retirement plan administration.
  • Review and audit payroll general ledger bi-weekly in preparation for uploads.
  • Work with third-party vendors to ensure accuracy of local, state, and federal taxes.
  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting for reconciliation of benefits and payroll.
  • Process employee status changes in coordination with HR.
  • Review annual W2 files and submit for approval.
  • Provide support for the time and attendance system and respond to payroll inquiries.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience processing payroll with a solid understanding of payroll processes.
  • Knowledge of federal and state payroll/labor laws and IRS regulations.
  • Experience in preparing and filing payroll tax forms.
  • Adept at performing payroll reconciliations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with UKG Payroll is a plus.
  • Certified Payroll Professional required.
  • Associate degree or higher preferred.
