About the position

The Payroll Processing Specialist position at Infosoft Teksolutions is a contract role based in Irvine, CA, offering a pay rate between $41.00 and $45.87 per hour. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the entire payroll process from start to finish, which includes processing timecards for hourly employees, issuing manual payroll checks, and ensuring accuracy through checks and balances. The specialist will independently seek, develop, and propose improvements to efficiently handle a high-volume bi-weekly payroll cycle. This includes overseeing system upgrades, releases, patches, enhancements, and new versions related to payroll processing. The role requires the development of spreadsheets to independently determine payroll requirements such as leaves of absence (LOAs), retroactive termination payments, anticipated severance payments, and garnishments that cannot be processed by the payroll system. Ongoing reviews of compensation payments before system entry are also a critical part of the job. The Payroll Processing Specialist will work with the Time Management System (TMS) to identify business solution improvements and establish vendor requirements to ensure the delivery of effective solutions. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in human resources, accounting, computer systems, or a related field, along with a minimum of four years of experience in payroll analysis. Familiarity with payroll systems such as UKG Pro and Kronos Time and Attendance is essential. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite are required, as well as experience in generating LOA worksheets for payroll calculations. The role also involves understanding SOX narratives and business process/IT controls, as well as familiarity with payroll data analytics and report development to support analysis.

Responsibilities
