We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role requires payroll knowledge and the ability to administer pay for 250+ employees accurately and efficiently. The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for managing the payroll process using various software platforms, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing additional administrative support as needed. This is a temp-to-hire role, offering a great opportunity to transition to full-time employment with excellent benefits. The position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with occasional Sunday work to complete payroll tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Administer payroll for 250+ employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Utilize JD Edwards, Kronos, VMS Beeline, MS Office Excel, and Google platforms to manage and process payroll.
  • Perform data entry and maintain employee records within the payroll systems.
  • Manage multiple work queues and schedules, ensuring that work is assigned appropriately and managed within stated SLAs.
  • Respond to Specialist and employee escalations, providing analysis, resolution, and communication as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll policies and procedures, providing backup support to the team as required to meet SLA requirements.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions for process improvements; identify opportunities to mitigate risk and add value to meet business needs.
  • Partner with other team leads and managers in HR and PR Operations to provide end-to-end operational guidance and support.
  • Handle day-to-day training activities for the assigned functional unit and work with internal and external vendors to resolve escalated issues.
  • Research business problems, identify trends, and escalate issues to the manager as necessary.
  • Capture and report on operational metrics, ensuring timely escalation to management.
  • Input data into computerized payroll systems for weekly and biweekly payroll, including updating and adjusting employee master file records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3 years of experience in payroll processing.
  • 3 years of experience with JD Edwards.
  • 3 years of experience with Kronos.
  • 3 years of experience in multi-state payroll.
