About the position

The Payroll Sales Specialist at Newtek One is responsible for generating new client sales and closing referrals in a fast-paced, client-driven environment. This role focuses on developing business opportunities through a consultative approach, utilizing various prospecting methods to drive sales and expand the client base. The specialist will also educate clients on Newtek's payroll solutions and maintain strong client relationships to meet sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new client sales using a consultative solution approach through referrals, networking, and outbound call campaigns.
  • Research and analyze potential clients' businesses and industries to determine the best product and/or solution.
  • Educate, consult, and guide clients towards appropriate Newtek products and solutions.
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing clients to expand the clientele.
  • Identify and qualify sales opportunities to up-sell additional products and services.
  • Prepare client proposals using pricing within set guidelines.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve personal and corporate goals.
  • Commit to departmental and individual quotas/goals.
  • Demonstrate market and industry knowledge as an expert in the field.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience with a minimum of 6 months of related B2B experience, preferably in payroll.
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Prior experience in payroll sales, support, or processing.
  • Experience with iSolved HCM is a plus.
  • Experience selling cloud/Software as a Service (SaaS).
  • Strong influencing, closing, and consulting skills.
  • Experience in business development, lead generation, sales, and marketing preferred.
  • American Payroll Association certification (FPC or CPP) is a plus.
  • Excellent client relationship building skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in processing information.
  • Knowledge of payroll and time systems.
  • Excellent professional oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with all levels of management.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus or may be required based on company needs.
