About the position

As a Payroll Specialist/Accounting Clerk at Stokes Toyota Hilton Head, you will play a crucial role in managing payroll and certain HR functions to ensure accuracy and timeliness. This full-time position is ideal for an experienced individual who is detail-oriented and possesses strong organizational skills. You will be responsible for processing both weekly and monthly payroll, which includes calculating wages and deductions, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with all payroll regulations. Your role will also involve reviewing timesheets for accuracy, entering commissions into Excel spreadsheets, and researching any discrepancies that may arise, reporting these to your manager for resolution. In addition to payroll processing, you will participate in month-end procedures, which may include reconciling payroll accounts and preparing reports for management. You will also be responsible for processing new employee hires, entering their information into the payroll software, and reviewing benefits with employees to ensure they understand their options. Maintaining employee files, including all necessary records and documentation, will be a key part of your responsibilities. Responsibilities
