About the position

The Payroll Specialist position is focused on managing payroll processes within an automotive dealership environment. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong ethical compass, capable of handling payroll systems and ensuring compliance with payroll laws. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting and contribute to a collaborative workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for dealership employees accurately and timely.
  • Utilize payroll systems, preferably Paylocity, to manage payroll data.
  • Ensure compliance with California payroll laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and employee data.
  • Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and inquiries from employees.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Provide support in payroll audits and reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in Dealership Payroll.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and 10-key skills.
  • Current California Driver's License.
  • Thorough understanding of dealership payroll and payroll laws.
  • Experience with Dealer DMS systems such as CDK and Tekion is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the automotive industry.
  • Experience in accounting (1 year preferred).
  • Ability to commute or relocate to Orange, CA.
