About the position

The Payroll Specialist at Right at Home is responsible for managing and processing payroll for caregivers across all locations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to handle various payment methods while ensuring accuracy in payroll data. The specialist will work Monday through Friday, providing competitive pay based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process payroll for home care staff based on clock-ins and clock-outs.
  • Review and verify time entries to ensure they align with scheduled shifts and actual hours worked.
  • Identify discrepancies or errors in timekeeping and payroll data.
  • Correct inaccuracies and ensure all payroll adjustments are made promptly and accurately.
  • Manage various payment methods including ACH transfers, credit card transactions, and LTC payments.
  • Reconcile payments and resolve any issues related to payment processing.
  • Enter and maintain payroll data in the payroll system with a high level of accuracy.
  • Respond to inquiries from employees regarding payroll issues or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations.
  • Generate and review payroll reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with financial audits and provide necessary documentation as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years of experience in payroll processing, particularly in a home care or healthcare setting required.
  • Proficiency in using payroll software and systems.
  • Familiarity with ACH transactions, credit card processing, and LTC payment systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and correct errors in payroll data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with staff and addressing payroll-related queries.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
  • 3 years of experience in Home Care, Home Health or Hospice preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in Healthcare Billing preferred.
