About the position

We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Payroll Supervisor to become part of our team, with the option for a hybrid or fully remote work arrangement. The Payroll Supervisor will collaborate closely with the HR director to ensure smooth payroll operations and compliance with all relevant regulations. As the Payroll Supervisor, you will efficiently oversee and execute bi-weekly payroll for all staff, including salaried, hourly, and tipped employees across various restaurant locations. You will ensure adherence to payroll regulations at the federal, state, and local levels, including tax submissions, wage and hour laws, and employee deductions. Your role will also involve creating and assessing payroll reports for accuracy, presenting findings to management to ensure transparency and compliance with financial protocols. In addition to payroll management, you will partner with HR to manage and reconcile employee benefits deductions, ensuring precise processing and reporting. You will act as the primary resource for payroll-related inquiries, delivering prompt and effective solutions to any payroll issues. Managing the payroll software will be another key responsibility, ensuring it remains current and meets organizational needs while suggesting enhancements as needed. Regular reviews of payroll processes and records will be conducted to uphold accuracy and compliance, and you will identify areas for improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and precision in payroll functions.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years in payroll management, ideally within the hospitality or restaurant sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom) and strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tip reporting and tax laws.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of conveying complex payroll information clearly to both employees and management.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a careful approach to managing sensitive financial information.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting, demonstrating effective time management and organizational skills.
