About the position

As a Payroll Specialist I, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services to a diverse portfolio of small- to medium-sized clients. This position is designed for individuals who are detail-oriented and possess a strong understanding of payroll compliance. You will be responsible for executing a client relationship strategy that fosters trust and reliability in payroll services. Your primary duties will include reviewing payroll data provided by clients for accuracy and completeness, inputting and balancing payroll data, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Additionally, you will process payroll, review and analyze payroll reports for accuracy, and distribute these reports to clients. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting payroll-related issues and educating clients on best practices to enhance their payroll processes. In this position, you will also have the opportunity to develop partnerships with various stakeholders, demonstrating the depth and breadth of care that creates value in client relationships. Responsibilities

  • Execute client relationship strategy that instills trust in the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services for a high volume of small- to medium-sized clients.
  • Review payroll data supplied by clients for accuracy and completeness.
  • Input and balance payroll data accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Process payroll; review/analyze payroll reports for accuracy and distribute to clients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1+ years' payroll or relevant experience.
  • FPC certification preferred.
