About the position

The Payroll Specialist II will assist with the day-to-day payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll for non-exempt staff. This role is essential for maintaining payroll controls and providing customer service to internal employees and outside contacts. The position reports to the Human Resource Manager and is part of a company that specializes in delivering solutions for legendary brands across various sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and validates time-keeping records for non-exempt staff.
  • Prepares venue payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Records and processes hours of work, maintaining payroll controls, records, and support.
  • Reviews and processes employee new hire/rehire information and terminations.
  • Ensures accuracy of all payrolls.
  • Distributes, receives, records, and files all payroll forms appropriately.
  • Provides customer service to all internal employees and outside contacts.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of payroll processes and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • General knowledge of basic accounting practices.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
