About the position

As a Payroll Specialist at Vista CyberCoders, you will play a crucial role in managing the payroll process for a rapidly growing, multi-state, unionized construction company. Located in Danvers, MA, this position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment while balancing conflicting priorities. You will be responsible for processing payroll for both hourly and salaried employees across multiple states, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Your expertise will be essential in accurately calculating and processing union dues, garnishments, and other payroll deductions, while maintaining up-to-date payroll records. In collaboration with the HR and finance teams, you will ensure that payroll is processed accurately and on time. Additionally, you will assist with year-end payroll reporting and tax filings, troubleshooting and resolving any payroll-related issues that may arise for employees. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in payroll processing, particularly in a unionized and multi-state environment, and who is familiar with Vista software. Your contributions will be vital as the company continues to expand and take on multimillion-dollar contracts.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees in multiple states
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
• Accurately calculate and process union dues, garnishments, and other payroll deductions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
• Assist with year-end payroll reporting and tax filings
• Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues for employees

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a unionized, multi-state environment
• Experience with Vista software preferred
• Understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations
• Ability to balance conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience working with construction industry payroll is a plus
