About the position

The Payroll Specialist / Office Manager / Administrator at Advanced Railway Innovations is responsible for managing payroll processes, maintaining payroll records, and providing administrative support. This role requires strong Microsoft Office skills and effective time management, with a focus on ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and assisting with HR tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Maintaining and updating payroll records.
  • Preparing periodic payroll reports.
  • Completing worker comp payroll audits.
  • Maintaining good standing with Prevailing Wage compliance.
  • Training assigned employees for backup purposes or new hires.
  • Collecting and verifying timesheets.
  • Entering employee information and payroll data into the system.
  • Answering employees' questions and concerns regarding payroll.
  • Calculating payable hours, commissions, bonuses, taxes, and deductions.
  • Processing new employees, promotions, and terminations.
  • Performing general administrative tasks.
  • Acting as overflow Customer Service Representative by taking calls as needed.
  • Helping with HR tasks such as benefits management.

Requirements

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Human Resources.
  • Working knowledge of LCP Tracker, DIR eCPR, PRISM.
  • Understanding DIR PW determinations.
  • Experience with certified payroll and labor compliance.
