MRG Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant/Payroll/Human Resources Assistant to join our Corporate Office located in South Windsor, CT. This position can be part-time or full-time, with an expected workload of 25 hours per week initially, with the potential to extend to 35-40 hours per week once the candidate has mastered payroll processes. The hourly pay rate is $25.00, which is based on knowledge and experience. The Mill Restaurant Group, LLC (MRG) encompasses several venues, including The Mill on the River, Abigail's Grille & Wine Bar, Cal's Wood Fired Grill, Market Grille, and Republic of Bloomfield, all of which are known for providing exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a highly motivated attitude and a genuine passion for accounting, human resources, payroll, and employee recruitment and retention. Experience in the restaurant industry, particularly in managing a workforce of 400 to 500 employees, is preferred, although we are willing to train the right individual. Candidates should have proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Insolved, as well as strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. The role requires the ability to handle multiple projects, process accounting and payroll tasks, maintain employee files, and manage unemployment and workers' compensation claims. Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, integrity, and a commitment to teamwork are essential attributes for success in this position.
