About the position

As a Payroll Specialist at CoAdvantage, you will play a crucial role in managing payroll processes for our clients. This position requires you to utilize payroll system software to compile and manage all aspects of payroll data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with government regulations. You will be responsible for the administration of payroll issues, providing exceptional customer service to both clients and employees regarding payroll-related inquiries. Your duties will include reconciling payroll data, preparing payroll reports and forms, and auditing payroll, benefits, and employee data to ensure accuracy. You will also set up deductions as required by clients and update worksite employee records as necessary. In this role, you will compile reports as requested by clients and handle high-volume payroll processing efficiently. You will be expected to maintain regular attendance during normal business hours and manage client inquiries via phone and email. Additionally, you will be responsible for handling CRM tool tickets and cases, contributing to special projects, and building relationships with both internal and external clients. Your ability to work accurately and quickly under deadlines, along with your strong attention to detail, will be essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize payroll system software to compile payroll data.
  • Administer and ensure compliance with payroll issues.
  • Provide client and employee services for payroll inquiries.
  • Comply with government regulations related to payroll processing.
  • Audit payroll, benefits, and employee data for accuracy.
  • Set up deductions as required by clients.
  • Update worksite employee records as needed.
  • Compile reports as requested by clients.
  • Process high volume and client payroll efficiently.
  • Handle CRM tool tickets and cases.
  • Answer main phone line and client inquiries as needed.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Build relationships with internal and external clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years high-volume payroll experience.
  • Understanding of payroll laws and multi-state payroll regulations.
  • Strong clerical skills with good verbal and written communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadlines.
  • Ability to deal with clients and employees professionally.
  • Ability to evaluate situations and provide expedient resolutions.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting information clearly.
  • Interpersonal skills that are cooperative, courteous, and flexible.
  • Conscientious, persistent, resourceful, and productive work skills.
  • Experience using large ERP systems preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
