The Payroll Specialist position at Leavitt Group involves supporting multiple agencies across the US with their payroll tax accounts and ensuring compliance with state requirements. This role is essential for maintaining accurate payroll processing and providing excellent customer service to employees.

Responsibilities

• Handle multiple state payroll processing
• Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations
• Direct the collection, calculation, and entry of payroll data
• Ensure timely payroll processing and tax reconciliation
• Produce and issue paychecks or electronic transfers to employees
• Compile reports summarizing earnings, taxes, deductions, and leave
• Resolve payroll discrepancies to balance payroll accounts
• Respond to payroll inquiries and maintain payroll guidelines

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• High sense of urgency in delivering quality products and customer service
• Extreme integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness
• Ability to maintain employee confidence and payroll confidentiality
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and results-oriented approach
• Ability to accept feedback and make necessary adjustments
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with ADP is preferred
