About the position

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for administering payroll functions and performing related tasks for all Cook Children's entities. This includes processing biweekly and monthly payrolls, handling new hires, transfers, terminations, leave events, deductions, and garnishments, as well as executing benefits and tax procedures. The role emphasizes providing excellent customer service to internal constituents regarding payroll matters.

Responsibilities

  • Administer payroll functions for all Cook Children's entities.
  • Process biweekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Handle new hires, transfers, terminations, and leave events.
  • Manage deductions and garnishments.
  • Perform benefits and tax procedures.
  • Provide customer service regarding payroll matters.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years payroll processing experience required.
  • Healthcare payroll processing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Workday Payroll system is desired.
  • Knowledge of Kronos Workforce Central is desired.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with healthcare payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with Workday Payroll system.
  • Familiarity with Kronos Workforce Central.
