The Payroll Specialist at Vaco is responsible for managing multi-location payroll processing for both hourly and salaried employees. This senior-level role requires expertise in payroll systems, particularly UKG, and involves tasks such as handling new hires, benefits, deductions, and adjustments in the payroll system. The position also focuses on improving payroll processes and reporting through advanced system knowledge and collaboration with HR and accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Multi-location payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees
• Manage new hires, benefits, deductions, garnishments, and adjustments in the payroll system
• Assist with software implementation and establish best practices for the team
• Utilize advanced UKG system knowledge to streamline payroll processing and reporting
• Conduct payroll reporting, automation, and trend analysis
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams for payroll reporting and audits
• Communicate frequently with locations to ensure accuracy of payroll issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of high-volume payroll experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, preferred
• Advanced payroll systems experience, UKG required
• Expertise in Excel required
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with multiple deadlines effectively
