About the position
The Payroll Specialist at Glens Falls Hospital is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, including daily payroll functions, tax filing, and reconciliation. This role involves responding to employee and manager inquiries, maintaining payroll data accuracy, and ensuring compliance with external agency requirements.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine and timely maintenance of payroll database
- Creates, analyzes and distributes reports related to payroll costing and workforce analytics
- Coordinates interface of data from KRONOS, DFM and POS
- Audits, resolves discrepancies, and adjusts data to ensure accurate processing
Requirements
- Associate's degree and 3 years of experience in payroll or related field; additional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Strong Organizational skills
- Strong Analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner
- Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws preferred
- Work well in a team environment
- Able to maintain confidential information
