We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Boise, Idaho! This role involves handling payroll for multiple states. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing bi-weekly payroll for multiple states in a timely manner. You will maintain and update employee payroll records in compliance with company policies and procedures, ensuring that all payroll-related tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. In this role, you will verify and validate various payroll earnings and deductions, including bonus payments and insurance premiums. You will also ensure the accuracy and completeness of employee time and attendance records, responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving discrepancies promptly and efficiently. Regular audits of payroll information will be conducted to ensure accuracy, and you will participate in problem-solving and special project activities within the Payroll department. Utilizing Accounting Software Systems and ADP Workforce Now will be essential in performing your accounting functions, and leveraging your proficiency in Microsoft Excel will be crucial in managing and organizing data. You will handle full cycle payroll processes, including multi-state payroll and certified payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly, as well as the capability to work independently and as part of a team. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, along with previous experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for multiple states in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
  • Familiarity with handling bi-Monthly Payroll
  • Experience with Certified Payroll
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credential is preferred
  • Expertise in Full Cycle Payroll
  • Experience with Multi-state Payroll
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
