About the position

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accurately entering and maintaining information in the UKG payroll system, including compensation details, hours worked, leave taken, and deductions. Prior experience with UKG is a must, as the role requires proficiency in using payroll software, specifically UKG Pro. The Payroll Specialist will ensure accurate processing of payroll deductions such as taxes, benefits, and charitable contributions. The role also involves recording and processing federal and state payroll tax deposits, conducting audits, and reconciling payroll discrepancies. Handling inquiries related to payroll from employees and ensuring compliance with payroll laws and regulations are also key responsibilities. Regularly updating payroll records and information is essential, as is maintaining confidentiality and exercising extreme discretion. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in their work, strong mathematical and numerical skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal rules and laws is also required for this position.
