About the position

Covenant Woods is seeking a Part-Time Payroll Specialist to support the Finance Director with various financial and accounting tasks, particularly focusing on payroll processing and related activities. This role is essential in maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations while contributing to a positive work environment within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the electronic time keeping system and collaborate with department supervisors to resolve time issues.
  • Process all payroll and payroll-related activities on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Generate reports from ADP for bi-weekly reconciliation of accounts and processing payments.
  • Process 403(b) employee, employer, and discretionary match contributions, loans, and uploads on the provider website.
  • Scan bi-weekly payroll paperwork into the system.
  • Upload ADP payroll report into Great Plains.
  • Assist the Staff Accountant with quarterly reconciliation of payroll liability accounts.
  • Review quarterly 941s and annual W-2s.
  • Assist in the annual Workers Comp Audit, fiscal year audit, and 403b audit.
  • Gather required information and maintain the CMS Payroll Based Journal reports each month.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an associate's degree in accounting/bookkeeping is preferred.
  • Several years of payroll experience is required.
  • Experience with processing shift work is necessary.
  • Vast knowledge working with ADP is required.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Experience managing company payroll for multiple departments with 325+ employees.
