About the position

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage full cycle payroll processes for over 500 employees in Seattle, Washington. This role involves handling multi-state payroll, ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws, and utilizing various accounting software systems. The position is a long-term contract with potential for full-time hire and requires a hybrid work schedule with three days in-office.

Responsibilities

  • Execute full cycle payroll procedures in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the processing of multi-state payroll, ensuring compliance with all state and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Manage the processing of bi-weekly payroll for over 500 employees.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and handle any payroll-related inquiries from employees.
  • Ensure proper calculation and management of payroll taxes.
  • Utilize various accounting software systems including ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now, and Ceridian.
  • Regularly use Microsoft Excel for creating spreadsheets and reports related to payroll.
  • Monitor payroll systems and address any potential issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information.
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations and standards, ensuring the organization's compliance.
